Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of a small rural village, Thaai Kizhavi follows the life of Pavunuthayi, a feared yet respected 70 year old woman who works as a moneylender. Known for her sharp tongue and uncompromising nature, she commands authority both within her household and the village at large. She lives with her daughter and grandson, while remaining deliberately estranged from her three sons for years.
